Emotions: Match Mat

This match mat challenges students to match the object with the written word.

If the student cannot read, simply go through the activity one by one and have the student find the picture. You can use this activity in tandem with a sensory bin. Take off all of the icons and mix them into the bin. When you say the label of the emotion the student can then work to find the specific picture. If this is too difficult, provide the student with a choice of three pictures at a time.
